Background
- The European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) is a body that regulates over-the-counter (OTC) and Exchange Traded derivatives (ETDs)
- Similar regulations were adopted by Switzerland (Financial Markets Infrastructure Act (FMIA), also known as “FinfraG”), OTC Derivatives, Central Counterparties and Trade Repositories (Amendment, etc., and Transitional Provision) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018 ("UKMIR").
